sir,
I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of
the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that a report has been received from H.M.Dockyard, Hong Kong, to the effect that the situation at that Port as regards the water supply is critical, and in view of the representations made as to... the shortness of water it has been found necessary to for- ward to Hong Kong two sets of distilling apparatus and boilers at considerable cost to meet Naval requirements.
My Lords understand that the question of the improvement
of the water supply at Hong Kong is now under the consid-
eration of the Colonial Authorities, and would be glad to
know how the matter now stands.
I am,
Sir,
Your Obedient Servant,
Hy Vansitant Klall.
